Small fissures, branches and slight twists reflect the character of the materials used.Color treatment The wooden parts of this building kit are not color treated. Wood in outdoor areas is constantly exposed to the elements, such as fungus and insect infestations. Regular, all-round application of protective coatings is thus essential. First apply wood primer to protect against fungus and insects. Then apply an intermediate and a finishing coat of premium wood varnish or paint to protect against color change and damage.Ideally, assemble between application of the first and second coat of varnish/paint. The poling boards must have dried prior to assembly. Calculate service intervals of about 4-5 years, prior to the appearance of visible damage. Follow the processing guidelines of the varnish manufacturer.WallsAll 28 mm-thick wall logs have a single groove and tongue milling. The logs are simply inserted into one another. The fitting accuracy of the logs during assembly is achieved using modern milling technology and symmetrical corner connection. This ensures easy assembly of the house.RoofingThe roof is supplied with 16 mm-thick roof boarding with tongue and groove for roofing with shingles. (roof shingles are optionally available). This protects wood from blue stain and UV damage, as well as from swelling and fading, while still allowing the wooden texture to shine through. Log planks and cornices are sprayed twice on one side at the factory. Doors and windows are coated on one side, roof covers twice all-round. The inside of log planks, doors and windows is untreated. The cut edges of log planks, floors, roof boarding and beams are also left untreated. Every building kit includes enough touch-up paint or varnish to repair damage and cover screws and cut surfaces at least two times. All untreated building kit parts used in outside areas (e.g. protruding undersides of roofs, roof beams, the underside of floors and the inside face of windows and doors) are unprotected and must be treated with primer and two coats of varnish/paint by customers. If you wish to further enhance the surface, lightly sand the visible surfaces and coat them with premium varnish after assembly. Use our optional paint and varnish products. Actual colors may deviate from the color samples illustrated.WallsAll 28 mm-thick wall logs have a single groove and tongue milling. This protects wood from blue stain and UV damage, as well as from swelling and fading, while still allowing the wooden texture to shine through. At the factory, parts are flow-coated twice on all sides with varnish and the excess subsequently brushed off.You can begin with assembly immediately upon delivery, there is no need for cumbersome priming and painting. Every building kit includes enough touch-up paint or varnish to repair damage and cover screws and cut surfaces at least two times.If you wish to further enhance the surface, lightly sand the visible surfaces and coat them with premium varnish or paint after assembly. Traces of storage on all-round color-treated components are due to technical reasons.RoofingRoofing consists of stable, 16 mm-thick polycarbonate twin-wall sheet. The top face is provided with a UV-reflecting layer. It is attached with a high-quality aluminium profile with EPDM lip-seals.BracingThe building kit includes galvanized flat-steel post anchors.
